I know that I've just pissed off tons of people, and will again in this sentence, but how can anyone be sooooo stupid to think that there is a devil and there is a god? Or how can someone think if they're bad they'll go to hell, but if good to heaven. It's impossible, and science repeatedly shows what really happens, but of course many religious people are still stuck in a time warp so they believe all of this nonsense.

I would believe there are aliens on distant planets way before believing in a god. Especially since there are so many planets, etc.

I believe it was all ancient propaganda to deter murderers and thieves, etc.
Because humans themselves can be so naive and stupid, I believe that's why religion is still around today.

Do I sound bitter? Well I'm sorry but when you have grandparents that can barely walk in their 70's who try to not slip on the ice and snow in the driveway so that they can go to church so that they go to heaven because it's what god wants, I get pissed off. Why would someone risk so much for something so stupid? When I hear people talking about Jesus and God I just want to tell them not to waste their time because when they die they're just going to be dead. No one listens.
