SSRIs are drugs like Prozac, Paxil, and Zoloft. MILLIONS of people take these drugs in America alone. I have never heard of them giving a false positive and due to the enormous volume of people that take these drugs, if one did it would be CNN headline type news AND all the drug testing companies would immediately have to adjust their tests so it would not happen.

Given all that I find it VERY hard to believe that the SSRI would have anything to do with a false positive. It would most certainly have to be something else your friend eats or takes that is causing it.

I have found multiple sites that apparently discuss this phenomenon however I cant pinpoint the exact information. It appears to be there but I cant find it in the heap of info I see before me.
Ill keep manipulating the search terms and see what I get.

My friend is on alot of meds at present and after a bit of research I discovered that one of the antibiotics, Amoxicillin can induce a false result. So I was wondering if any other of the meds they're on could do the same. I was hoping someone here may know a little more about SSRI' than I. The drug in question is CITALOPRAM. Thankx for your time!

I have a question. Why doesnâ??t your friend just say to the company that is giving the test "hey I have a prescription for CITALOPRAM, please make sure you account for it in the tests"?? Seems like that is the best way to handle it.

I have never heard of a "Police officer" giving a drug test. As far as I know they have to be giving by a professional, legally certified company and the police can only use the info that that company gives them.

Its not like the cop is asking the guy to piss in a bottle in the back of a squad car, adding some powder to it, shaking it up and saying, oh dude you are busted!

using all of the letters of CITALOPRAM, and only those letters, you can create: clit paroma
