    Alot of unnessisary heat for sure! I have 3 of my ballast up in the attic sitting on steel trays ontop of fire proof fibre glass this also takes away the somewhat loud humming noises from the Ballast!................When I first started growing I had the ballast in the same room with my plants and let me tell ya it got really warm in there with the ballast and the bulb of course.....but the ballast heat could heat up your grow room really fast exspecially a none vented 4x6 grow room!

    yeah man that sucks I have the same problem I'm still trying my best to take care of the problem. I bought 2 booster fans, one is going to bring fresh cold air from outside the house and the other is going to exhaust the air in my wall. Hopefully this works

    if you have neighbors close by get yourself a carbon coal filter so there's no unwanted smell's leaving your house.you'd be suprised how many people get caught that way
