Well, I agree - a lot of those questions were contingent upon the test taker's education. I think an i.q. test should reflect your ability to learn, and use your head - not your ability to retain the name of the protagonist in 1984.

i'd say my test score reflects my ability to learn/remained focus. at the end of the test, it states that your score could have been higher if you were not suffering from a lack of sleep, or any mental or physical deterrences.

you are not doing any learning by taking an IQ test. the only thing you are learning is the nature of the questions themselfs and you might do better if asked those very same questions again.

And being able to sit and concentrate is a given, anyone who cant seriously sit and concentrate for a wile shouldnâ??t be taking an IQ test.

There were several questions based on analogies, which are taught in English, one of which depended on your knowledge of a couple novels. If you hadn't read the books, you wouldn't even understand the question.

In addition, an i.q. test doesn't factor in luck. People guessed on a lot of those, judging from their lack of comprehension of the questions asked.

i try to read from time to time, but i live next to a raging volcano and it's hard to concentrate.

I think thats kinda the point....to see if you can work out some sort of patteren, then depending on your answer somthing somthing...

...i dont agree with IQ test either really, i just like taking tests...you could guess the majority of the answers and get an amazingly high score and then someone with high cognitive skills coulld read the question wrong or some shit....who knows...who cares its all in good fun.
