I'm not growing at the moment. Just moved and have to set up again when I get spare money which isn't going to be anytime soon. But I did use Fox Farm Ocean Organic Potting Soil.

should i go down to 400 hps and close my space a little more or get an air cooled hood for the 1000w hps for the heat problem?

You could use a cool tube. Or you could get an air cooled 1000 watt system. Or you can get a 400 watt system. I have one of those for sale. Click the link below my signature. All three suggestions will work. With a cool tube or air cooled reflector you can get the light alot closer to the plants but you still need to buy an exhaust blower with it. Or buy a 400 watt and you can place it somewhat closer because it does'nt get so hot.

did a little bit of an adjustment with lighting during the veg stage. can you give me a little input on how this looks? added 4/23w soft white flo lights on sides. do the leaves look like they are dropping down. thought it was overwatering so i held off a day. last watering 3 days ago.

Mobay you told me in a earlier post you had to give the bathoom back eventually. Have you ever thought about building a grow box? The last one I used was 6 feet tall by 4 feet wide and 3 feet deep. I made it look like a pantry and painted it the same color as my wall. You should think about that one. That way you can do alot more than you can in that bathroom since you don't want to alter anything in there.

The side lights will help. They look a little overwatered but not alot. Just water them when the container feels almost dry. Is that foil your using? If it is make dure its "dull" side out so you don't create any hotspots that will burn your plants. I use mylar myself. Did I show you this before? www.weedfarmer.com/cannabis/

see i have alot of space where i can build one but my girl smokes cigs and isnt that a bad thing for the plants. if not we can start building one tommorrow. thats one place she doesnt go. iam going to have to do something real soon because, iam getting a new front door installer on the 9th, and my growroom is right there. so if it can be done , lets build. i dont have nothing but time on my hands.
