Mothers are better held in dirt then hydro and 2-5 gallon buckets work great for mothers. One you drill about 75 to 100 holes in and the other one is the catch bucket for the runoff. That's how I would hold mothers if I were you.

Just make sure you use a 50/50 mix perlite and soil fo quick drainage.
