In January 1968, Jimi smashed up Mitch's room at the Phalen Hotel in Sweden. Overturned chairs, curtains torn, blood everywhere; the only thing still working was the telephone. This whole incident was caused by Jimi drinking too much and he was charged with criminal damage. It was ironic that his consumption of LSD and cannabis never affected him as much as alcohol, which could send him off his head and bring out the worst in him.

Noel Redding was totally absent when Jimi's vision of Music became clear, and it was during that time that Buddy Miles was about to step in. Mitch Mitchell rejoined Jimi in 1970 when all he could do to get away from the pressures of flying around the country, night after night (Michael Jeffrey purposely arranged cross-country, back to back gigs) was LSD. He got his act together, Billy Cox did acid for the first time and wound up pretty sick so Jimi sent him back to the U.S.

well, according to a documentary i saw on showtime, he also did heroin. which was his cause of death. noel redding and mitch would always know how much drugs to do, by watching how much jimi did. they'd always do less...much less.

You know, I know what you're implying. Jimi Hendrix was more into Herb than Acid, but Arthur & Albert Allen (renamed to show their roots, like Muhammed Ali was, I forgot what it was called) said people would be trippin' off one hit and Jimi would just sit there and pop one, look around, then pop another, they said it was unreal, but I think I know where he's coming from because I didn't trip off of sugar cubes and straight drops after a Brain Injury. That's another story.

You should get to know Jimi Hendrix, he wasn't the "druggie" that people call him.
