That's the problem. 95% of UFO (bigfoot, greys, chupacabra, your company name here) sightings fall in to that category. The vast majority of them are our modern day legends and part of our modern day mythology. That being said, I am a firm believer that myth and legend almost always have some basis in fact. And most cultures through time have some kind of space invader myth along with myths to cover all sorts of naturally occuring things like thunder (Thor) and lightning (Zeus) which both have their basis in truth. Thunder and lightning happen. But we now know that it is not the work of big hairy thundering beings but rather the forces of nature. (ie. atmospheric conditions that are conducive to forming thunderstorms)

Do I believe there are sentient intelligent being out there in the galaxy?
Absolutely. The Galaxy is really really big.
Do I believe they have been here?
Not bloody likely. The Galaxy is really really big.
Do I believe we are somehow the product of some kind if intergalactic seeding program?

They showed the Loch Ness monster, I don't know if you've seen that one yet. I can't remember exactly now, but it was something small with a reptile-like head attached to it, and they showed a ripple, in the water, that proved it was a hoax.

I remember the Jackalope from my childhood. Grew up in Illinois but my folks loved Montana and would vacation there whenever they could. Every souvenir shop east of Iowa has a few heads mounted for the tourists. Some even have the entire animal mounted on a slab of cedar with a 1/4" coat of high gloss polyurethane, a couple of weeds, a rock and some sand.

My picture of the Loch Ness Monster (?), taken on one of the boats that tour from Fort Augustus. This picture has not been retouched electronically, or otherwise, it looks the same on the original negative. Its not The Loch Ness Monster, but if you think you know what it is send me an e-mail.

The most common answer is a swimming Elephant! We have no wild ones in Scotland. More elaborate answers include "It looks to me like a fat guy, Floating on his back with his right arm in the air!"
