What do you guys think of girls with dreds?

Haha! Yeah I tried them out this past summer and I ended up taking them out because I went to this meditation conference and my parents said it was innappropriate to have them there. Thankfully I only had them for a couple weeks so I could just barely take them out.

I attatched some pics of my "dreads" after 2 weeks. My hair is longer now and there is also non-residue shampoo that you can wash dreads with without getting mildew in them (yuck). So yeah. Woot I'm gonna do it!!!!

dreads are freaking awesome (( especially on the ladies) imp:
dreads will be appreciated more by a stoner or "freak" crowd. wiggers, rednecks and southern baptist house nannies will be less likely to enjoy it.

The actual word dreadlocks comes from Jamaica, made up in the early movement of the Rastamen, dreadlocks came from the word dread for the meaning of fear and horror. :thumbsup:

i was once totally fixated on this girl in town who had dreds she looked so cool and i was obsessed with her for months i think they r great.

however an freind of mines sister had dreds and whenever i saw her i would just be totally grossed out bay the manky greasy smell of them i thought they were disgusting!!!!

also i think if u r going to have dreds if they r neat and tidy they r great if your hair just looks like a matted rats nest the u should just shave it all off and start again.

i'd say it depends on your hair. obviously afro hair is best for dreads, if your have curly hair your might be able to pull it off, but if your hair is dead straight the forget about it, it will just look like a dirty mess!

why not try braids?
