    What soil are you using?

    And witch seeds??

It might be the soil, if it isn't potting soil, you might not get anything out of it.. I did that once..

yikes.. removing a seed from the soil once it's propigated? that's not a good idea!
If you're going to germinate in soil, it takes ... anywhere from 3-10 days for them to break the soil. depending on conditions.
Don't remove your seeds from the soil once you plant them.. you run the risk of breaking off the tap root (if there is any).

Soil germination is not quite as reliable as you'd think... it's a lot easier and more effective to propigate your seeds before planting them

yes. you are best off germintaing using the paper towel method, and than planting about 1/2 inch deep in some good soil (Fox Farm Ocean) once the tap root shows.

It's best if you do this with tweezers as you don't want to touch the seed with your hands if you can avoid it.

Then wait. If most of the seeds are up, wait about another week before you dig in to find them--tho then what you gonna do? Generally, I just plant enough that I won't miss one or two sleepers and can deal with coupla males

lol. Ok well what I say is never germinate in the soil do a pre germ meaning soak them in paper towels or in water till you see the taproot. Usuaully it only takes from 24 hours to 3 days for it to happen so pre germinate to be sure of 100 percent success then plant them in the soil manily white tip pointing down ok. Good luck buddy. imp:
