hi all, some of you may have seen a pic i posted 2 weeks ago of a home grow mushroom kit.
well all i did was spray spring water on it and put it in a bucket and covered in cling film, and this is two weeks later.. easiest thing ive ever done..

how much did the kit cost? does it smell? could i do it in my closet (still live with mom but she never goes in room ever)

the kits cost about £20 uk. it doesnt smell at all. they do need about 12 hours of light a day, the instuctions said to leave them under a windowsill, but not in direct sunlight, which is just what i did.
its so easy... you could even start them off and go on holiday for 3 weeks and come home to a load of mushies. i reckon they've got about a week left till ready for picking......and guess what,,once youve picked them all, you just put the kit back in the bucket and it grows some more.........and you can do this up to 6 times depending on how clean you keep it.. By the way these kits are legal in the uk but not in u.s.a

sorry, but no you cant. you can buy prepared mediums and spore kits but it all seems too much trouble to me. these are maintenance free..

its cheaper to go and pick your own if poss. the ones im growing are ok but mushies picked in a field in september are a different story alltogether..
