I use schultz productsrchid mix 70/30 w/perlite, and peat on top. You can use the cactus ferts, w/superthrive. clone with root powder. All are Schults products

use ph'd rowater or ph'd distilled water and soak orchid mix overnight...
get 17qt. planter/pot a wally's and add 1 layer of very thoroughly rinsed out lava rock,
then fill up pot with mixture of orchid mix and perlite...place an inch of peat...there you go...

I use advanced nutrients 3-part micro-grow-bloom...and additives. The orchid mix drains well so I water every 2-3 days with 1/2 gallon if mix; once I am in flower...hope this helps
