Good move. Why it was changed to holiday tree in the first place is beyond me.

now we need to get the schools to stop teaching our kids about that bogus holiday Kwanzaa started in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga,a black nationalist and communist. What a joke!!

Well, gotta agree with you on this one. I, for one, and utterly sick and tired of North Americans and Europeans bending over backwards to accomodate new immigrants, yet they don't give a shit about people who hhave been living here for generations. It's insulting.

Political correctness is the true spawn of Satan.

Yup, I gotta agree with Amsterdam on this one. And I'm an athiest! To me Christmas is about getting together with family, the spirit of giving, and basically about people sharing happiness with the ones they love. Just because I don't believe in the Christ aspect of Christmas doesn't mean I want the name changed.

I also don't have a problem with City or towns having Nativity scenes as part of their "official" Christmas displays. It's part of the whole Christmas tradition. I see it as a pleasant story, no different than that of Santa Claus, etc. Not everyone beleives in Santa but you don't have the athiests screaming when his picture is plastered on everything this time of year. After all, isn't this the perfect time of year to be more accepting of others beliefs and cultures? If the athiests, Muslims, Jews, etc get offended well then they can go and fu.... um, what I was about to say wasn't too Christmasee so, if they get offended, let them get coal in their stockings. It's more than they deserve.

Please do Atheists a favor an don't claim to be one of us. You dont' even know how to spell the word. You obviously have no understanding of what it is really about or what it means to be one. When you lump "athiests" together with Islam and Judaism, and identify with Christianity, you are just as bad as the theists. The fact that you use caps for the first letter of religions' terms, and small case for "athiesm" (sp), shows your true colors. You are a "house athiest", lol. You might as well assume the position, on your knees, and go the whole hog with them.

It is the FAR left people who are in on this "War on Christmas". A lot of department stores can not say "Merry Christmas" in fear of insulting someone's beliefs. Instead they say, "Happy Holidays". What a bunch of crock. I have also heard the FAR left trying to get rid of the "In God we Trust" on our currency.

The man that you quote, Socrates ("The unexamined life is not worth living"), would not have agreed with you about this, lol! He was a critic of religion and it's trappings.

    Howdy Y'all,

I say-let's vote with our money on this issue, don't shop anywhere ,where the store refuses to have anything to do with Christmas or takes the secular progressive,anti-Christian stance. The far-lefters think that having Christmas as a federal holiday,is actually establishing and endorsing a religion, they want Christmas to no longer be a national holiday,if they manage to do away with Christmas on these grounds, every other Christian holiday will be taken away as well..because-after all, this just one aspect of an agenda to ban Christianity altogether.

    Have a good one ...
