Marijuana and cigarettes are completely different; ciggarettes are jam packed with chemicals while pot has nature's wonderful THC (probably some others I don't know) but not nearly as many as cigarettes.

Oh, yeah if you meant smoking cigarettes, it can be harmful. Increases the chance of blood clots.
