i have 4 plants, 1 plant is on its 4th set of leaves, 2 are on their 3rd set and 1 only has 2 sets , is anything wrong? running 2 /40watt flo lights, fan rotates, temp 80, and the humidity is 50%.

Hey Mobay it's you again. No nothing is wrong with your plants. The way cannabis plants start (So you can follow me here) is the Plumue (Embryotic Stem) breaks out of the Testa (Shell) and the white stem quickly turns green and breaks the shell casing loose. Next two leaves will appear. Next another set of leaves will apeear facing opposite of the first leaves. These leaves look like the classice marijuana leaves only with less fingers and are called (Compound Leaves) These leaves will continue to grow upwards in sets of two only in a criscross pattern until growth begins to expand outward. When this happens your compound leaves will then begin to develop more fingers. Hope this helps and was'nt too elaborate. Next I'll be teaching Cannabis 501.

If you only have two cfl's, I would myself prefer to get two more for the first 3 - 4 weeks... then I might jack the HPS in.. You can't get a 1000w HPS close enough, you would only burn your plants.. wait one or two weeks, then jack it in!

Also you should use the, uhm, hand method to know how close it should get!
