Peyote is indeed very slow growing. A peyote button big enough to trip off of is at least about 20 years old. And people have been gobbling them down for the past smany years that even the Native American Church is having a hard time finding enough. Sanpedro is good but the perouvian torch is better (higher concentration of mescaline) near the potency as peyote unlike san pedro which has only about 1/3 the amount. You can get a 12 inch cutting of P.T. from the Basement Shaman its a little pricey though. Also beware of people selling mecaline pills most of the time its not mescaline. One sign that it maynot be mescaline is the size of the pill/powder. If its real small it may not be mescaline or at least not enough to give you a good trip. The size of one hit of mescaline is a little bigger than most people think. I still take it when I get a chance though. The best trip of all!

This doesn't seem to be a popular narcotic. Why is that and can anybody tell me more about it? I wanna try it one day (in like 5 years maybe).

Mescaline is definitely not a narcotic! A narcotic would be opium, heroin, something that makes you fall asleep.

Mescaline is the trip I've always wanted to take. Me and a friend are actually going on a road trip down south to see if we can meet some people to get it or if we could even go find it ourselves.

I've done so much research on mescaline, as I find it a very very interesting and respectable drug. Peyote was used for religious purposes in Mexico hundreds of years before the Spaniards knew North America exsisted. Peyote was the ultimate medicine. It was capable of giving sight to the blind and curing other incurable diseases. They also used it to produce visions during religious ceremonies. Others used it as a thereputic or self-exploration drug.

It's truely a terrible shame that the use of this cactus was shunned upon and even fought against by the early Europeans simply because of a difference in religions. This can be a partial reason to the rarity of it to this day.

Think that one adult sized Peyote (don't ask how much that weights, its about 10-15 years old and 7-10 cm in diameter) should be enough for one person for a good trip.

The long tripping I also heard about, these kind of trips can take over 2 days if more is taken.
