Seed question

Well I had a question about weed seeds. I was just wondering, can you grow weed from the seeds you have in the bags we buy from our dealers? I'm asking this because it's like..Ok why are there so many weed sites out there that sell seeds for such an expensive price, plus you have to risk it being mailed to you when you could just take the seeds outta your bag that you bought for $5 or more and grow those. I mean I really see no purpose unless growing is your hobby or you sell it...that is...if you can grow from the seeds in your bag lol.

You can grow them but I dont think they will grow aswell as the1's u buy.

Yeah they will probly grow....but

The seeds you buy off the net are usually grown for the seeds to sell....so they will (hopefully) be top quality....

The seeds you get in your bag probly wern't even wanted to be grown....if you know what i mean....it was probly an accident....

im not sure what difference this will make to growing because i have never grown bag seeds....maybe someone else will be able to help more?

So it can take tests for you at school, duh man. . no really you would buy a clone so that you are for sure getting a female plant that is good quality, plus you dont have to muck about with that tedious germination stuff

Hahah oh yeah. Btw I was wondering how long does it take you to tell if your plant is a female or not because I would be pretty pissed off if I took care of my seed and it turned out a male xD. Correct me if I'm wrong but the male plants have (according to Cannabis.com) cluster of balls on stems and females have wspy white hairs? I did take your cloning thought in consideration and would do it (it does seem like a time saver) but I dont know anyone that grows marijuana around here .

I have grown plants from seeds i got with weed many times and it works well. I enjoyed a lot of the buds I got from the plants. Like anything some is better than others and seeds from a really good bag of pot will equal better plants.

But like everyone else has said if you are really serious or want to be a pro, order seeds or clones. But giving it a try with seeds you already have is a good way to get started without spending a lot of money.

Well I have two books oh how to grow pot and there are lots of ways that might let you know early but you really wonâ??t know for sure until they start to flower. The only way I have tried that had any sort of reliability is if the young plants have stinky tops. Usually if they have stinky tops they are more likely to be female. But this is far from full proof and like I said as far as I know and have read there is no real way to know until they start to flower.

I'm just an armature though, I'm sure there are other pros on here that know more about this than me.
