Tuning a guitar while high?

I dont play YET, so I dont know

Nine years under my belt.

Navy blue Stratocaster with Crate amp, Ernie Ball slinkies, and a no name acoustic. I'm usually tuned to drop D or C with the electric. Not much use down-tuning an acoustic, though.
