Better Exhaust Blowers? Active Air Or Dayton?
Which exhaust blowers do you guys and gals prefer and why?
See I personnaly like the higher static pressure of the dayton's but also like the built in in 4" duct mount on the active air's so I'm sort of torn on the issue.Trichome Creator Reviewed by Trichome Creator on . P.S. Don't get this confused with In-Line or Centerfugial Fans.

Active-Air and Dayton fans are squirrel cage which are centrifugal blowers.

I meant not in-line fans. Sorry for the confusion.

I would go with the Daytons...
Just because they've got more, um, 'history'.
The 4" duct, you can build your self... or get an Air Conditioner Contractor to build you a nice one with some sheet metal. The Active Air fans, to be quite honest, I'm trying a couple of pages I googled but I'm not getting anything. It's probably my piece-of-shit ISP. Anyways, I have a link to the dimensions of Dayton fans, if you want.
I'm not putting it here because I'm not in my computer.... but I'll check back later, and if you're interested, I'll post it.
I also have a link to other fans (the link is in the 10k Dream Grow Room setup thread) that seem kick-ass for these applications... forgot the name.
PS: Creator, can I please get your input (if any) on the 'fogger' system? http://boards.cannabis.com/showthread.php?t=40838 Thanks!

I think the Dayton would be better if it has greater static pressure. With the Dayton you can get a 6" intake adapter for $10 to improve the flow.

Turtle420 I myself own a Active Air 180CFM Exhaust Fan and they seem to be really good. You can see them at http://www.hydrofarm.com/content/vent_envir.htm since you said you were having trobule. I was looking into buying a new 465CFM Exhaust Fan so that's why I brought up this topic.

Fogger systems are great for Aeroponic systems or for Foliar feedings. Look at www.wormsway.com for some really nice foggers.

Yeah Pepper the higher static pressure does make a world of difference. The Active air brand does not have as high a rating of static pressure as daytons do but on the up side are less expensive but true quality takes that little extra you know. Plus I like the fact that the active air fans are white as I use them inside my grow chamber and try to keep dark materials from inside the area so no lumens are asorbed.

I have one of the hydrofarm 465 blowers but it is black. What I liked about it was that the 4" intake pulled air out of my hood and the other side pulled air straight out of the closet. On the down side, this wouldn't work too well if I was adding CO2.
