Does weed cause heart problems?

I have been smoking for 2 years and a bit, and i was wondering if weed, actually contains the same heart problems agents as ciggarettes do. Sometimes after i hit up a huge sess, my heart aches, its not like a sharp pian, but rather an ache, like you'd get in your stomach, any idea what could be causing this? Probably lack of oxygen circulating the the heart(oh wait, can't that turn into a heart attack?)

no it does not cause heart problems or contain the same carcinogens as cigarettes. Other than respitory damage from smoking, I think pot helps more things than it hurts.

BUT

It is possible that you may be allergic in some way, or may have gotten tainted pot.

Either way, I doubt you'll die from heart failure due to too much pot

lack of oxygen is likely the source of the ache, however, im pretty certian you get more oxygen in your lungs in a toke than a smoke.


plus if you already smoke cigerettes, then screw you! lol

no, it cant cause heart problems.... studies have shown that MJ actually stimulates the cardiovascular system

carcinogens, yes, any time you inhale smoke you will have them... but it isn't that bad for you. if you live in a major metro area, you inhale about a pack and a half (cigs) equivalent in carcinogens daily... nicotine is the prime cancer causing agent... w/o the nicotine, your lungs just expel all that nasty shit with little to no adverse health effects, highly variant on the individual ... your lungs can handle that shit easily, this is why everyone in the city doesn't get lung cancer :twocents:

overall, mj is pretty good for you, minus the burning plant matter part

i dunno what to tell you about the cause of the pain... maybe see yourself an MD

but heres an idea... your lungs absorb all the possible thc from a hit in under 10 seconds... if you hold it in any longer you aren't getting anything but o2 deprivation... so try holding your hits for no more than 5-10 seconds MAX, since thats all you need.. and see if it helps

if the pain persists and / or gets worse, then i would suggest a trip to the doctor asap or at the very least stop smoking and start vaporizing

i don't know what the rest of that has to do with the topic here, except maybe there are gov't lies stating that it does cause heart problems, along with every other bold faced lie the gov't puts out about mj

but the only way cannabis can cause heart problems is if you have a pre-existing condition or have a very weak heart, it's effects are nearly the complete opposite of tobacco

I have had ( triple by pass ) and the doctors tell me to smoke the green and doing so I have come off of 10 pills a day to one a day and my green! just turned 66 this year...
