You're right, it was a foolish post. Caffeine induced. It correlated in my mind...head in Mississippi = a lone skull found with no other bones. Who knows where the rest of the bones went. Scavengers, most likely.
The skull belongs to whatever tribe the the deceased belonged to, if the tribe still exists today. I think that's the general rule anyway. Anything found that is Indian belongs to the Indians.

On a somewhat related note, they found Beethoven's skull too.
