salvia is some sorta plant from mexico, makes you trip like your on acid but last upto 15-20 mins if lucky. legal in canada..18 age restriction

It's legal to use as "incense" and every place that sells it has a warning: "This is not for human consumption" but I'm not sure if thats a legal thing or is just trying to keep themselves from being sued.

salvia is legal ONLY AS AN INSCENCE... so to answer the ? yes it IS illegal to smoke, but perfectly legal to buy

kinda like in switzerland, they have marijuana "scent packets" (may be inscence, in college i used to live with a swiss kid who didn't give the greatest translations, and when he got too baked, he would forget how to speak english, ROFL) they are perfectly legal over there and can be bought in many stores, with a big fat warning on the package saying not for consumption, do not smoke, etc

that doesn't stop people there from buying it and walking out of the shop and smoking it right there

so in the US, our situation with salvia is basically the same thing
