wardrobe situation,
125w dual spec, is 2 inches far enough away?
can anyone help me on this. I dont want to burn it

The hand test...
I think a good test is the hand test...
Place your hand under the light, and move it closer until it starts burning... then place your plants just a little bit lower.
You should have air circulation over your 'canopy' and/or over your plants. You might consider a sealed reflector housing... or a cool tube.

Thanks. Unfourtunately, its a wardrobe stealth grow, so cant make many changes to wardrobe, except get a small fan.

If you raise the light a little the plant will stretch some and grow taller. That way you get more buds. There is a balance that needs to be played out between stretching for height and closeness of the light to the lower parts of the plant. It does take a certain amount of stretch to grow them big and heavy. To flower you move the light closer then in vegetation cycle. During vegetation cycle you want the plant to stretch some so you have more room for flowers to form.
