I am one of those who do not think it's ok to use cannabis at 14.
I am also one of those who do not believe that we as a people should hire others to put loaded guns to our kids head if they are caught with cannabis or suspected to have cannabis in their possession, or force them into rehab.
I do not believe that we should cage 14 year olds for using or having cannabis. I am not convinced that putting a 14 year old in a cage with violent people, with substandard healthcare, and a substandard diet is safer for them to experience than cannabis itself is. Education promotes safe(er) behavior. Punisment and hypocrisy doesnt.

Actually you can easily prove with mice that the same type of behavior can be achieved through both positive and negative reinforcement. Though, it's quality of of life that becomes the real issue.

Anyway, I'm willing to bet that galaga420 is grounded right now.

Well, it wasn't drugs that I smoked that put my mind to searching out my sons online behavior. Obviously, I do care about my children otherwise I wouldn't be here. No my brain is not FRIED as some I can see. Life means more to me in a clearer state than a cloud. I don't trust anyone online these days especially when it comes to my kids. Yes it is a free country but that doesn't mean I have to agree with everything that is spoken or practiced especially when it is against the law. So I do hope that you all have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday and take a moment to give thanks.

Yes, it is against the law. I think you'd also find that most sane people do not support cannabis use by young people. There are certain developmental years that I believe should be "sacred". You won't find any argument about that here. However knowing this, and being an educated individual, I believe something being "against the law" might not outweigh it's other benefiting factors. Once you are older and have your wits about you, you can make certain choices. Cannabis falls into this category.

All I ask is that people give credit where it is due. Oh, and for the record I smoke cannabis multiple times a day.
