Educate her. Tell her that you smoke. Then go out and get a six-figure job. That's what I did. My parents know I smoke, but they're far more concerned about my alcoholic brother.

My mum, last time she had a talk with me about weed said "If you carry on smoking, in a year or 2 you'll have overdosed on heroin." It pissed me off that she said that, and the fact she wouldn't listen to what I was trying to say.

True true...But you gotta understand, my mum knows absolutely NOTHING about drugs....I mean for her, shes just unenlightened and inexperienced in drugs, full stop. But i wouldn't go as far as saying she was intellectually dishonest.

Same here, my mum's favourite song is The Stranglers - Golden Brown and I asked her the other week if any of them had died, and she said yes, probably from drug overdose, so I told her that her favourite song was about heroin, and she said "What's it about? About when you trip on heroin" and I couldn't help but let out a little giggle, just so she realised she hadn't a clue.
