How long should you hold in the smoke?

jus try an sniff up the smoke comin off the end of ur joint, jus dont take a full hit in ur lungs so u got breath, and no smoke is wasted, either that or dont smoke hooters, go make a bong or cone then if u want hold it in as long as ya want, jus need to light and smoke, im fuckin ripped, laters

I usually hold mine in as long as possible. I've always loved takin' a rip..hold..exhale..instead of taking in some fresh air after hit, take another one. So I'm just breathing it as well as smoking it..*wink wink* I used to do this all tha time, I remember at one point I blew out the smoke I had and maybe 10 seconds later I was coughing my ass off. Someone said "whatsa matter? Virgin lungs?" I just replied, " If you mean I have virgin lungs when it comes to breathing oxygen...yes. Im not used to breathing it too often. No dumbass, of course I have virgin lungs...you've only known me to smoke pot for oh...7 years now!! Geez..."

all the THC is absorbed in 10 sec or less, exhaled smoke contains no thc.. so yes 'ghost' or shotgun, ot whatever ya wanna call it hits are pointless

holding it for longer doesnt do anything but give you a headrush from oxygen deprivation and perhaps a placebo effect
