Who knows what really happened, but after reading some interviews with Phil, he seems to have got a little "big headed." All he had to reply to Dimebags new band was something like, "all their going to do is going to get another singer that sounds like me, just like everyone else." Like, holy shit, what an ass. Now that Dimebags gone he suddenly cares? Get off the herion, cocaine, or whatever the fuck you're doing.

I predict Phil will be dead from either drinking himself to death, drug overdose, or heart failure due to excess drinking/drugs(like Morrison), within the next 10yrs...Ya, the rate he's going.
