When should seeds become buds???

I've noticed that most of you hydro nutters only veg the gear for about 2 weeks ....but this is with clones and under a SCROG!...when i germinate my seeds....how long is minimum before i can flower under 12/12????? all donations gratefully recieved!

4 to 5 nodes. That's 4 to 5 sets of good leaves. Everything after that depends on how much light you have.

2 weeks is for clone vegging...seed vegging 6-8 weeks from sprout to transition flush/flower phase. and don't shortcut the time, unless you don't care about yield.

Longer veg means longer flower to finish time and more yield, also more plant height.
If this is a consideration, then veg until plant is 12-18 inches high, because it will grow 2-3 times the height 24-42" approx. in flower-12/12...hope this helps

Yeh this helps loads buddy. I'm looking to have some smokable for around feb/march..if i force the bloom phase will it create hermies? and if i force the young plants in order to determine sex that i might choose a female as a clone bearer ,will her clones carry her juvenile condition and thus produce me a poor yeild...or can i rectify their condition by vegging them for a longer period? :]

Keep growing your seedlings on vegitative cycle. Take a couple cuttings and "clone for sex" is an easy way to determine sex and not to stress young plants.

Yes ..i think that is the better option..thanx..i have some old cloning powder..do ya think it will still do the buisness ? or should i buy some new gear? can u root clones without hormone?

From seeds, i wait 4 weeks to switch to 12/12 and there are big enough for harvest! But in 4 weeks of veg, they usually don't show sex.

Is that too premature though fhydro? How long after 12/12 untill they show sex and what sort of yeild can u get per plant this way??
