No, they are more over in the red spectrum, and are good to use with CFL in flower!

that is very true puff, but CFL's come in cool white and warm white

cool being more blue and warm being more red (and much more common) ... and since CFL's put out much, much less heat per watt AND much, much more light per watt using an incandescent where a cfl could go is a waste of electricity if ya ask me... unless your growroom needs some extra heat

I agree... incandescents are lower quality and intensity light than CFL's. The ideal CFL grow would be Cool white CFL's for veg. and Warm white CFL's for flowering.

    you can get both..

I've just been to cheap..and am using incandescents for now

DUDE,, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND EVEN MORE WASTE OF ELECTRICITY. GO TO RITE-AID/THRIFTYS ( ON THE WEST COAST), AND BUY THE CFL'S FOR $1 EACH. NO HEAT AND LOTS OF MONEY IN YOUR POCKET FOR LOT OF LUMENS. DON'T GO THRU THE MOTION OF GETTING A PIECE OF ASS IF YOU'RE ALONE WITH A DIRTY MOVIE. GET THE DRIFT???? THINK ABOUT IT.

HID lights , like MH or HPS are the BEST... but if your strapped for cash than fluoros are the only other viable option, and some are available in better spectrums than HIDs
