"Lost" posts can happen on most all message board sites from time to time...

Easiest precaution is to simply save the text to the clipboard ... just press CTRL-A and then CTRL-C -or- click Edit and then Copy every so often...

Do that allows one to simply paste back what they saved to the clipboard if their post is somehow "lost" saving much time and grief.

For really long posts, etc one should copy the text as explained above and then paste it into Notepad and/or Wordpad; saving isn't necessary, but certainly advisable if it's something that one feels is really important and wants posted for sure...

Main reasons for pasting into Notepad, Wordpad, etc, especially for really long/detailed posts, is that it's possible to accidently wipeout the clipboard by hitting CTRL-C again later for example, and more importantly if the browser crashes / locksup, the clipboard contents will likely be "lost" too.

In summery ... use CTRL-A then CTRL-C / Edit then Copy to save the text to clipboard ... for really long posts, paste the text into Notepad / Wordpad; saving isn't necessary, but advisable if really important.
