I do both. I never thought exhaling through the nose made any difference with the buzz, but I did it anyway. It's just a habit.

I don't get any higher when i breathwe out through the nose, but I've never done it exclusively. I do tell one of my friends to do it all the time but that's only to make sure he takes the smoke down.
