The government doesn't add anything to cigarettes. Cigarettes are made by cigarette companies. They fuck with the tobacco so much that they take away half the high and put so much shit in there for shitty flavor and for addictive qualities.

Import some quality tobacco from other parts of the world and you'll notice a very big difference. A few hundred years ago, Tobacco was basically today's Cannabis. Everyone liked it because it made them feel good and calm their nerves. Then the corperations took the buisness over and turned what was once natives smoking a plant to a multi-billion dollar buisness which kills thousands of people every day.

Yes, the government is at fault by allowing this to continue, but I am sure we would have many uprisings and revolts if we criminalized cigarettes. It would be Alcohol Prohibition all over again.

Also cigarette companies donate LOTS of money to presidential campains and towards the government, thus giving them an immunity. Originally the government was forcing the cigarette companies to produce a list of all additives in cigarettes and the final agreement was only the people in that office of the president (I forget which) were going to be allowed to see this list, and no one else. In turn, this keeps cannabis illegal because the cigarette companies are paying politians off to keep it that way.

IF YOU SMOKE CIGARETTES, YOU ARE KEEPING CANNABIS FROM BEING LEGAL.

Edit: Although this might be a touchy subject to some, think of all those family abuses, and as a matter of fact, all abuses related to alcohol. Now imagine if the father smoked weed. I think there would be less of a chance of him hitting little tommy and throwing his fists around at his wife, and instead be enjoying a great time with them.
