Are all HPS lights the same???

As dboy says, you'll be fine with what you bought.

But more expensive lights, are 'brighter'. They have better engineering in them... I trully don't remember who's post it was, but they guy did a before/after shot comparison with his old HPS and with a new 'fancy' one HPS... and the new bulb, you could definitely see the difference in the pictures.

Are these the pics you were talkin about turtle? Pic 1 is of a standard HPS. Pic 2 is of Hortilux HPS.

For instance ..im on a tiny budget..i search and searched the net..and bought a 400w HPS 'SON T PLUS' from Philips... but coz it was so cheap i cant help doubting whether or not is has all of the correct wavelengths!! can anyone please 'shed some light' on the matter :D what is your first choice lamp??
