And why do the English (or Europe in general?) like U's so much? For example:

color vs. colour
flavor vs. flavour

Or maybe the question is.. why don't Americans like U's?

I've never got that, either. Why you spell those words differently, but all the other words making the same sound don't involve the letter "U". What gives with that?
