UK-US-AUS-NZ-CAN-IRE etc. Slang thread.
BUMBAG (ENGLISH) = FANNYPACK (US)
Cos fanny means ya bum
not ya MINGE
(the office)robert42 Reviewed by robert42 on . UK-US-AUS-NZ-CAN-IRE etc. Slang thread. We all speak english but not exactly the same so I thought we could have a cross cultural discussion on how english is spoken in different places. For instance.. "Pissed" in the US means "mad or angry" but in the UK and elsewhere it means drunk. To "take the piss" in the UK means to make fun of...whereas in the US that would mean that you have taken some urine...er.. somewhere. To take "a piss" in the US means well..to urinate. Rating: 5
