Sounds like it's time to get our guys some new rifles for the desert conditions. I didn't know how fine the sand is over there and the last thing we need them doing is fixing jams in the heat of battle.

The standard issue is going to be the OICW....

According to the present plans, the XM8 should enter full production circa 2005, if not earlier, several years before the XM29 OICW.

So this is like a stepping stone to the OICW.... this gun looks awesome as fuck! I want one! Ya know, just in case the a-rabs invade.

yes, you will sure be saying that when your getting shot by one b/c you are too blind to realise that everyone should own at least a good rifle for self protection.

I have my SKS for that, although im sure I would be better served by a more modern rifle.
