All the money that the US government has used on the "War on Drugs" over the last 20 years (some 700 billion ) could've been used towards ways of avoiding the drug crisis originally instead of finding ways of "detoruing" the problem. Throwing people in jail isn't going to stop the drug problem (when I say drug problem Im talking about the meth and heroin addicts that abuse the drug and the crime that generally associates with it). People have reasons for doing a particular drug, they don't just wake up one day and go "Gee I could go for a gram of PCP right now".
