    hello just saw your post!
    Im total newbie, considering.growing.
question, in a wardrobe, with 125w dual spectrum, when it comes to dark period, how do I block out gaps of light in wardrobe, would a black sheet pinned outside wardrobe do?what type of fan would suffice.

Im also considering an aeroponic unit, which I hear makes tomatoes grow really fast. But Im begining to wonder now, after reading all the posts, sometimes there can be too much science.

    thanks so much

It's really easy. From HD or even a pond fish store you can buy pond liner. It comes in black and is very thick. You open the door all the way and staple a strip on one side from top to bottom. Next you staple the other side of the strip to the open door leaving a small "bump" outward. That way when you close the door the pond liner folds in and blocks the light. To cover the seam between the doors you pick up some Door skin and cut a 6" strip. Secure it to one door on the inside overlapping to cover the opening of the crack by as much as 4". This door is opened last. If you lock your doors then just make a hole for the lock and cover it with some scrap pond liner.

Yes they do have a dual spectrum CFL. I have not tried it my self so I can't say if they are any good or not.

There is a start up cost with Hydroponics that is not there with dirt farming. To me the extra grow or too you get a year with Hydro over dirt is worth the trouble and expense. It's up to you if you think it's worth it or not. Its not rocket science but there is work involved.

Zandor, thanks so much for the info, pond liner, who'd a thunk it?
    I'll give it a go.
By the way, I had a little seed growing out the back, its a trance. Now Im in Ireland, so all week the poor thing was frozen, but it really was an experiment. But I brought the little thing in two nights ago, and its soldiering on under the 125w.
I am also getting seeds called Euforia, which are all feminised.
Wonder will these be easier to grow for first timer.

Anyways, thanks a lot for the help, its invaluble.
