i smoke weed every day and i am not addicted, i am at my dads house for vacation and i havent smoked in 5 days and wont smoke for another 5 until i get home. I dont need any substance to keep me going. Although i do believe people get addicted to many things in their lives and they dont realize. Think about it, for example if u could ent watch tv for a long period of time would u have a problem with that , i belive alot of people would and they dont realize that they are addicted to day to day things in their lives

Not to be an ass-hole, but seriously thats what ALL addicts say. I knew a guy that was addicted to herion. "Oh I can stop anytime I want, but its really no big deal if I do it" His friends and family kept trying to get him off. Then one day he just says ok I'll do it, I'll quit. Guess what? He couldnt. He couldnt put the needle down for more than a week! He even went to rehab. AFter that he was hospitalized for a Herioin overdose. And later killed himself out of depression.

It's not a big deal cuz its only nicotine, but serioulsy, your addicted.

To start, the unexpierienced, are always the most ignorant.

You don't really understand true depression, do you? People have have manic-depression or bi-polar, is not something they can switch on and off, or what you call, a mental thing.

I am bi-polar, have been since I was 15, I know all about depression, and I can tell you it isn't in our minds It's called a lack of serentonin. This is a natural chemical your body produce and people who are bi-polar or depressed, have a lack of this chemical and that's what causes the depression. These chems. are kinda, trapped in your body, they need something to help release it, that's where presciption drugs come in. Some of them, diff. ones for diff. people, help free these trapped chems. so a person can function normal again.

You're not a know it all, you know jack shit, saying we are ALL addicted. Different drugs do diff. things to diff. people, just because YOU are addicted, doesn't mean the rest of us are.
i can never stress this enough, the drugs arent helping, you think the drugs help, and THAT THOUGHT IS WHAT MAKES IT WORK.

literally, you're only curing yourself, "proof" that a medicine works, just makes it easier for people to believe it works, just makes it work.

the problem here, however, is that endorphines also reduce depression...

and desireable situations also help release these chemicals, therefore, a depressed person is most likely someone who has little to no desirable situations in his/her life, and relying on a drug is only making it OKAY for that person to suffer not having any desirable situations.

they are still mentally depressed, but their bodies are pumping out all these chemicals that trick them into thinking they arent depressed.

    STOP IT GOD DAMNIT!!!
