I quit drinking, for several reasons.

#1- my health. I was once prescribed to Lithuim, that is very hard on your liver, and while on this I was a chronic alcoholic. After years of abuse, my body just couldn't take anymore drink. 2 beer can make me sicker than hell.

#2- Money. Partying every weekend ate up my paychecks like nothing. I'd party Fri. night, all day Sat. and night, and recover Sun. I'd pay $20 for a case of beer before the bar, $50-$70 at the bar, and $20 for a cab ride home, plus buying a few 1/8's in the middle, you do the math in a weekend.

#3- Personal choice. It's not that I hate booze, but people always have to abuse it doing serious damage to themselves, and others. Like driving for one, liver damage, alcoholism, mood swings like hell.

Booze turns people into idiots. Look at the violence on TV, in the paper. "fighting at a bar, stabbing at bar, drive-by at a bar. Drunk driving as well. You know how many lives would be saved each year if it wasn't for drunk drivers...

The only reason booze stays legal to this day is because if they were to ban booze, stop making it, the government would lose major tax cuts. Same with tobbacco. The reason it's legal is because they get HUUUUUUUUUGE tax dollars from it. Government adds additives to get you as addicted as possible, then run ad campaigns trying to get people to quit and jacking up the price?!? Money money money...that's what it all comes down too. MJ remains illegal for this one reason is they know anyone can produce it, and they are bitter b/c they don't get any tax dollars from peoples personal crops
