Your new box sounds super!

Ideally, all the air that's touched by your lights should be 'sealed'... no interaction with the boxes' air. Why don't you build a cool tube? I bought a Bake-A-Round in eBay... waiting for it to start building the cool tube.

Anyways, I think the new dimensions will really help you... I cannot go bigger because, literally, my closet isn't bigger. But, kudos to you!

As to temperatures... well, I think the most important factor for the temperatures is the value of the INcoming temp... I mean, mine is incoming @ 86F... and I've got like a MAX of 91F in my box... usually about 89F or 90F.
turtle420 Reviewed by turtle420 on . Made a bigger box. I extended my box to 6 feet high now instead of 4 feet. It is a lot better. Bought a 600 watt hps with a 6 inch air cooled system bought a 6 inch inline fan.. covered my whole box with mylar. the box is now 2 ft. deep, 6 ft. high, 5 ft. long. How hot should it be in my box? i have 4 plants that are about 1.5 ft. and also how close should I have my 600 watt? there is glass under the light to keep it somewhat cooler. Also, should I put ducting from the light to the outside of the box. So far I Rating: 5
