peat moss is really acidic, I used to use it in my fish tank. Also acidic soil brings about more males than females (High Times October Issue). The soil might be to compacted, get some sand in there and if possable, a half hand-full of dolomite. I had soil that was to compacted and the root of a vegie plant went straight up and almost out of the soil, lol. For nutrient, not a fucking clue to help you, I'm trying to figure out some nutes for my own plant, was looking into shultz cactus food that releases over time, I think it's like 9 weeks of high N.
