My plant is about 8-9inches. It is quite compact though, I think it has at least 6 or 7 nodes. It is hearty and healthy, and unstretched.

When you say "You need 7 to 9 weeks" what are you refering to? veg or flower?

I am growing Northern Lights.

Also, I dont know if you were adressing this in the message as well but, hieght is not a problem. I have about 3.5-4 feet before it gets too close to the HPS and if it starts getting in the 3ft range I was going to tie down anyway.

Any more recomendations or techniques from others would be great!

I have been pretty impressed with its rate of growth under the HPS, and the CFLs are allowing for great secondary growth. I depend highly on the cold weather to cool my closet via an adjacent window because of the 400W HPS. This means I would like my grow to be completely done by mid-late February.
