I'm growing romaine under fluoros and they are beautiful. Here's a picture. I've never grown lettuce without slugs and sow bugs. Growing them inside is cool.

Thanks. It was a very good read.
OK I have a question for you. I understand how to do this with clones now, but how would one do the bubbler method when growing from seed? Could I simply germinate in rockwool first then place the rockwool cube into the bubbler setup? Would the medium have to be different?
Thanks

yeah, assuming you know how to ph the rockwool...
you plant seed, when roots show outside 1x1 or 1.5x1.5
rw starter, place in netpot fill with hydroton, place in bubbler.
you were exactly right.
this is what I did on my 1st grow...worked great, I accidentally grew one plant almost 8'.
I am going to do 10 clones in a shallow bubbler, just to recheck my past results. I'll post a couple...I already have a shallow early veg-tub, I am going to load-up
I use 3.75" in entpots now...started with 5" and still use them also. I like the 3.75" netpots because you can buy a 3.5" holesaw at the truvalue and drill beautiful tight fitting holes in your hydro tops

not really...rooting is rooting, imho...In my experiences it takes 8-14 days to root, after that, they usually rot.
