Some 500 vehicles were set ablaze across France, compared to 463 the previous night, and unrest hit areas including Strasbourg, Marseille, Lyon and Lille. But there were fewer incidents of violence in the Paris suburbs, police said.

Yep, and i must say this is the perfect excuse to blame the war in iraq on ethnic frustration and unrest.

i mean if they're rioting during such an important war, then it must be because they're terrorists. Why else would anyone dare to not focus their attention 100% on america's war?

They arent rioting because of the war, they are rioting because 2 muslim kids who thought the police were chasing them (when they werent) went into a electrical subhouse and got their ass lit up, The muslims, always looking for a reason to riot/pillage/burn a city that took them in decided they had a reason to riot. IT was after like the 10th day of rioting that liberals started saying it wasnt about muslims (but all the rioters were muslims) but the conditon of the muslim neighborhoods, no jobs etc.
