I love working with soapstone but ive never had the joy of making a pipe out if it. i have heard that some of the stone can have traces of asbestos (sp) in it though, making not only the dust harmful, but the smoke as well if you were to smoke out of it. Id love to see some pictures if you have a camera. Peace
