a candle question?
A true green bulb is fine. Not a painted one but a true green bulb. Plants don't see green so you are safe.
I use 2 25w green bulbs in my flower room. I can't go in there once the lights are on due to the Co² so any maintance that needs to be done must be done in the dark cycle.

a candle question?
Tell me where I can read on these "green bulbs" and their miraculous ability to cleave off all but the "green" range of light frequency, loosing the rest the visible light spectrum.I would truly like to know how this was done.Especially since the literature is quite clear. The hormone effected by light during flowering is only effected by the blue range, not green.Back to the original question about a candle. All I know is it takes .03 foot candles of light to effect flowering. The full moon is about .01 foot candles, and the light must be fully illuminating the entire plant.-usdi Agaluga
