Not sure if you are saying I am full of shit or not?

HD sells 25 w green bulbs that are not hard to find.

Most all-EXPERT growers do the same thing. They use green light bulbs and do their maintenance in the dark cycle. That way you don't interfere with the CO² enhancement or take the chance of harming yourself from CO² levels above 1800-ppm.

I'm not sure about the glow sticks but I assume they are safe just expensive to use.
