KFC Commercials.
You knew this would happen.
Nothing could be bloodier than KFC's buckets of fried-chicken corpses. Each one contains the pain and suffering of innocent, gentle birds who were made to grow so quickly that the legs of many of them collapsed under their own weight and many of whom were killed by being drowned in scalding-hot water.

Tigers are cruel when they kill their prey. So are wolves. Don't forget we're meat eating animals. It's a completely natural thing. I refuse to believe that nature is at all evil in any way.

Dude...tigers, wolves..sharks.. they dont torture their prey. Factory farmed animals are subjected to horror from birth to death. That's not nature's way. The meat industry creates more pollution by far than any other industry. NOT natural.
Besides, we evolved teeth to eat meat before their were alternatives. Soy products can be substituted for any meat product and it's just as good. These animals have the cognitive ability of small children. They like classical music. They can do math. Most importantly, they can suffer just as well as any of us.
"Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages."

I don't condone torturing animals. I don't condone marijuana being illegal either. If there's nothing I can do about it I don't see the point in stressing about it.
And there's no rushing evolution. We might come up with new technological innovations, but that is a completely different subject. Like Carlin says, we're barely out of the jungle.
And reply to Other Psychotropics.

I suppose that's true. I have no ethical qualms with eating meat. But I think I do have ethical qualms with supporting the corporate run meat farms that inject everything with hormones, and literally stack animals on top of each other in the pursuit of profit.

-edit- sorry about this, the first post was meant to be like, two posts back. The conversation was just developing faster than I anticipated... Didn't want it to seem like I was ranting on the subject...
