"Ricks' bbq nearby has a good but pretty small bar"

Is that Rick's BBQ in Carrollton? I've been there a hundred times or more. You're right that they do have a very small bar area. The restaurant does seem to cater to people in their 40's and 50's, but there's nothing wrong with that!!! :thumbsup:

Have you guys ever been to Snuffer's in either Addison or Plano? The one in Addison is the older one, and I don't go there any longer since they opened the one in Plano. Pretty good burgers.......EXCELLENT scenery for the eyes. Even my old eyes can enjoy!! I'm not sure about how much the beers are there since I don't drink much anymore.

There's a place called the Across the Street Bar, right across the street from the Barley House. The Barley House is a very popular place. The Across the Street Bar has a "hippie dance" on Wednesday nights, I believe. Kind of a drum circle and goofy dancing. Those are fun places to hang out if you're in the younger crowd....20's and early 30's. I felt pretty old in the Barley House myself. Mostly a place for young studs to hunt the ever elusive prey.

Please post if you guys do end up making a connection. Maybe even us more "experienced" folks can tag along until our Geritol wears off.

How about a couple of clean (meaning none smoking outings) so everyone can feel each other out. I notice that alot of people are lookin for hookups and such, the bigger picture should be socializing with like minded people.
